It doesn't make sense to call someone a liberal. They are relative adjectives. If You are conservative about spending money than you are liberal about saving money. I know this is merely a matter of semantics, but that doesn't negate my point.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Besides, even without being relativistic, the terms don't make sense. Republicans might be conservative in their definition of marriage, but they're definitely not conservative when it comes to the environment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, neither political party is actually conservative or liberal about the things they are supposed to be. Democrats socially liberal? Hardly. Republicans fiscally conservative? Nice try.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I say we abandon these characterizations.
